Sakereh Maskal is a Certified Permaculture Designer, a graduate of the School of the Sacred Wild Apprenticeship, a GAIA Sacred Plant Medicine Apprentice, and digital artist.
As a Black Earth Intuitive, she found deep solace in natural spaces. And yet, as a Black woman, she often found those same spaces challenging to navigate, from experiences of racism outdoors, to a lack of Black representation in professional environmental and conservation spaces, to the broader absence of Afrocentric ecological thought.
Through her creative work, she helps Black individuals rediscover their sacred connection to the Earth, rooted in Afrocentric wisdom and Afroecology. In doing so, she offers the opportunity to experience the Earth's deep, unconditional love so often missing in society at large.
