Midiri Reciprocity offers a sanctuary of offerings born from a profound, mutual relationship with the Earth.

  • Monthly sessions of guided journaling, live communal sharing of positive nature experiences, and a closing letter of gratitude to a plant, place, or element that moved you that month.

  • We're grounding ourselves in African and African diasporic ecological wisdom, starting with Black Earth Wisdom by Leah Penniman

  • A hands-on practice of building a personal, plant-centered altar space at home — a tactile way of tending sacred connection to the Earth, season by season, from wherever you are.

  • A land-based practice that weaves African and African diasporic ecological wisdom into permaculture principles, designing gardens, altars, and outdoor spaces that mirror the reciprocity our ancestors practiced with the Earth. Rather than importing Western permaculture as-is, this work asks: what did land stewardship look like before colonization disrupted it, and how do we bring that memory back into how we grow food, tend soil, and relate to place today.
